And they managed to make excellent use of what little Hellraiser “mythos” there is - it was definitely the most well-developed movie in that dept of them all. That was… kinda good? It could definitely have been more scary, but it was creepy enough. OK, it was kinda grisly towards the end, but at least it wasn’t torture porn. The colour grading on this movie is just… excessive. This time around, they seem to go with flesh sculpting? Which just takes it from “eww!! scary!” to “eh? is that CGI or is it latex?” I think they wanted to take it a step further - in the original movies, it was people in leather with some S&M stuff. This is still good, but the one mis-step so far is… I’m sure once everything is clearer, it’s gonna turn out to be really stupid, but so far, it’s really good. It’s like a real movie, you know? Good actors, professional cinematography, an apparently intriguing plot that is slowly revealing itself…

Then they forgot the colours again, and they’re not even in Serbia.īut … this is like so much better than every Hellraiser movie since the second one, there’s no competition. It’s gotten middling reviews, but that’s a lot better than most Hellraiser movies, so…Īs everybody knows, they have a very limited colour palette in Serbia.īut now we’re back in the US and they have colour there. But now there’s another one! So I have to watch it.

But unfortunately that made no difference.A while back, I watched all the Hellraiser movies. Oh, I did clean the disc thoroughly (even though the surface has never been touched since I bought the discs). But it still gets stuck on the same file (00011.m2ts). I have DVDFab Passkey 8.2.8.3 and when the disc is inserted it comes up and says "The disc contains new protection, full disc copy/play is supported in newer version, please update!" So that's why I tried the latest DVDFab 10.0.5.1 trial (hoping it had the latest equivalent Passkey code in it). I just tried the "Rip Video Disc to Harddisk." and it also got stuck on 00011.m2ts. UPDATE: I just installed the latest beta version of AnyDVD and setup the trial. I might be willing to purchase AnyDVD but only if it can handle my current issue. Will the trial version of CloneBD or AnyDVD work to get past this "error"? I used CloneBD and anydvd to create the mkv's. The disc's may look clean but only after a good cleaning with soap and water, the mkv was created without a problem. In my case I had to clean the disc's to fix the problem. I also had some difficulty to extract and create mkv files.

I have the blu-ray set of "Star Trek: The Original Series" (bought direct from Amazon) and have been using MakeMKV to extract the episodes to an MKV.īut on season 1 disc 7 (episode "The City on the Edge of Forever") I get an "unspecified error" at offset 322105344 during 00011.m2ts.
